Our palm vein recognition based solution has been chosen by an outdoor beach at the Neusiedler See (Lake Neusiedl) in Austria.

The BioSec system was deployed to prevent the misuse of free beach access cards, received by local residents. Before the introduction of our biometric system, there was a possibility to misuse the access cards and enter the beach free of charge. By using the BioSec system, local residents entitled for free access are biometrically identified at the entrances, thus only authorised users can access the beach without buying a ticket. The BioSec system has been used since the start of this year’s beach season, with ~3800 people in the database currently. As in case of all biometric technologies, an introduction period is necessary at the beach, but we believe that as people use our system, they quickly recognise its benefits.
